The market, as it actually is

Prices written down by people standing in markets, checked before they go up, and kept as history you can look back through. No estimates, no averages of somebody else’s guesswork.

Coverage

What’s actually in the data

Prices are collected against assignments, tagged by place, and averaged only after somebody has approved them.

  • —crops priced

Grains, tubers, legumes, cash crops, vegetables and livestock.

  • 6regions

Every submission is tagged to a region, a state and a market.

  • 52weeks kept

Daily averages, weekly aggregates and a year of trend behind them.

Rising today

Falling today

Region by region

One crop. Six different prices.

The gap between the cheapest and dearest region is the part nobody tells you about at the farm gate. Here it is, from today’s approved submissions.

Reading the numbers

Words attached to the figures

Analysis is written from the same approved prices you can see for yourself — and it tells you where it got its information.

  • Every morning

    The market brief

A written read on what moved and why, written after the overnight averages settle — with the sources it drew on attached, so you can check the reasoning instead of taking it on faith.

  • Weekly

    Crop by crop

Open any commodity and find what's pushing its price, what's holding it up and what could knock it down, refreshed on a weekly cycle from that crop's own numbers.

  • Whenever you ask

    Your own reports

Pick a crop, a region and a stretch of time and get a report with the trend, the swings and a regional comparison. Keep it in your library or take it away as a PDF.

Alerts

Set the number once, then get on with your day

You shouldn’t have to keep refreshing a price page to find out something changed.

Set your first alert
Your price, your direction
Set the number and say whether you want to hear about it going above or below. Pause an alert when it stops mattering; switch it back on when it does again.
Email and in the app
Both by default. Turn either off in your settings.
Quiet hours
Nothing reaches you between the hours you set aside — 10pm to 7am unless you change it.
Once a day, at most
If a price sits past your target for a week, you hear about it once — not every time the job runs.
